- What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations and changes are accepted up to 24 hours prior to scheduled activity time without penalty. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of activity time and “no shows” are subject to a 100% cancellation fee, no refunds, no session credits, no exceptions. There will be no rescheduling or changes within 24 hours of reserved session time. A “no show” is defined as not arriving by activity departure time. We offer an exciting, fun, and affordable activity for the whole family. As such, we are very popular and are often completely sold out. Before making a reservation, we will assume you have read the following:
- Please only reserve the exact number of spots you need.
- Confirm all participants are willing and able to do this activity, (not terrified of heights, in good health and able to adequately perform the tasks required of them, fit within our operating parameters – 250 lbs. or less
and 5 years of age or older).
- Understand the difference between the course zones and Zip line packages-reserve for the correct one. We cannot guarantee we will be able to switch your group if you reserve the wrong course zone.
- What is your group cancellation policy?
Group reservations of 10 or more are only guaranteed if paid in advance. A refund will be given for whole-group cancellations more than 7 days in advance. Whole-group cancellations within 7 days but more than 24 hours will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Partial-group cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Circumstances that require us to close the entire park, other than weather, will result in a session credit or refund by original method of payment. This is a % credit or refund based on the time remaining in your session.
- Do I have to sign a liability waiver?
Before engaging in any Vista Lago Adventure Park or zipline activities, each participant must first carefully read and sign the VLAP waiver. This waiver is part of the online reservation process, but if you plan one just dropping in, you can print and fill out the form at home to save some time and get you on the course that much sooner!
- What happens in the event of inclement weather?
We want our park to be open as much as you do, but we also want you to be safe! If you have any concern in times of inclement weather or high winds, please call our Welcome Center at 805.710.7970 prior to coming out. We reserve the right to close the park at any given time due to weather. Thankfully we live on the Central Coast, where those days will be few and far between!
- How tall do you have to be to participate on the Upper Park?
Adventurers must be able to reach up 5ft for Yellow and Green courses, and reach 6ft for Blue and Black courses. That height is to the middle of the palm of the hand, standing flat-footed. His/her fingers must be above our measuring line. No refunds or credits will be issued if we are not able to move your child to the lower Course.
- What is the weight limit for all courses and ziplines?
Beginner Park Minimum weight is 40 lbs, maximum weight is 250 lbs. This will be verified with a scale in the harnessing area. If you make a reservation and are not 250 lbs or less according to our scale, you will not receive a refund. Small children may need an adult to accompany them.
Upper Park Minimum weight is 70 lbs, maximum weight is 250 lbs. This will be verified with a scale in the harnessing area. If you make a reservation and are not 250 lbs or less according to our scale, you will not receive a refund.
- Who can go through the courses alone?
Beginner Park: 7 and up ok to go alone. Under 7 we require 1 chaperone (12 yrs or older) per 2 participants.
Upper Park: 12 and up ok to go alone. Under 12 we require 1 chaperone (12 yrs or older) per participant.
- Do I have to participate on the courses with my child?
No, you may supervise your child from the ground, for which there is no charge. We have a large viewing deck with benches for you to enjoy watching from a short distance.
- Do guides or staff go with the participants?
Yes, our expert guides are with your group the entire time of your adventure.
- What should I wear/bring?
Please wear closed-toes shoes that tie (tennis shoes, hiking shoes or boots), comfortable clothes that allow you to climb in a full body harness, a layer that zips (hoodie, fleece, jacket) so that it can be taken off or put on over a full-body harness. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
- Can you accommodate birthday parties?
We love having birthday celebrations here at Vista Lago Adventure Park. Vista Lago day use area has many picnic areas and BBQ pits for your use. Remember, the picnic areas are first come first serve, so plan ahead. We also have a deck area with several picnic benches available for you use, again first come first serve. We have special group rates for birthday parties of 8 or more, please call 805-710-7970 for information. Remember, we do have age requirements for our courses and require on course chaperones as well. Please see our age requirements above.
- What about food and drinks?
Food and beverages served at the Sipline Snack Shack!
- Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed at Lopez Lake and must be keep on a leash at all times. At the Vista Lago Adventure Park area, you may have your dog with you at the viewing deck or anywhere outside of the course entrance. Again, your dog must be on leash and if you know he/she is a barker or disturbed by a lot of commotion and activity, then we kindly ask you to keep your pet at home or at your campsite.
- What is your policy on late arrivals?
Please plan to arrive to your session 15 minutes prior to your start time to sign in and process waivers. We cannot guarantee that late arrivals will be able to reschedule or move to a later session and we do not pro-rate or offer refunds. It is necessary that you are harnessed and attend ground school with the other participants in your session.
- Are the parks certified?
Absolutely. The Park is built to the standards of the ACCT (Association of Challenge Course Technology) specifications, among the most stringent ropes course safety standards in the world. The Park was built, and is currently maintained by Absolutely Experiential, LLC. You can find out more about them at www.absolutelyexperiential.com.
- Is there a fee for entering Lopez Lake and what about parking?
There is a $10 dollar entrance fee to Lopez Lake. Parking is free. There are many things to do within Lopez Lake Recreation Area. Please plan to spend the day in the park and enjoy!
- Do you offer season passes?
Yes! With Annual Passes are all available, offering a range of options for those who would like to climb and zip often.
- Are Adventure Park gift certificates available?
Yes, several gift options are available. We offer both Gift Cards and Gift Certificates can be purchased & redeemed through our online reservation tool. The purchaser selects the ticket(s) that they would like to give and pays for them online and immediately receives an printable gift voucher. The recipient of the gift may use the voucher code to reserve their Adventure Park experience online.
